REAL final midterm is tomorrow. Also, video of the week.

If you want to avoid the cool story, the video is at the bottom.
So  I said in my earlier post that spring break doesn't actually start for me until Monday because I still have a midterm for an online course due tomorrow. I do at least know some of what's on it, but I can't say I'm too confident on all the material considering how she does her quizzes. A lot of her questions are worded vaguely, and since it's not multiple choice you just have to pretty much deal with her wording. I also don't really feel like trying too much in the class.

She has her tests planned on such awkward time frames, and I'm so forgetful that I forgot the date of our first test so got a 0 for it. Considering tests make up about 60% of our grade, that one test alone is almost the death blow of the class grade, which pretty much makes me lose motivation for even trying hard in it. I don't like the idea of busting my ass studying and still getting a poor/failing grade, wasting valuable time I could be using to focus on what I really want to learn instead. So I was supposed to study a bit today, but ended up spending almost the entire day on Japanese instead while procrastinating. I don't really mind, taking it easy is my thing. No need to stress over small stuff, it'll get me nowhere. So just taking it easy. I'll probably fail that course, but it can't be helped.

I got some laminated kanji poster to hang on my wall and help me keep track of my progress. Works pretty well, looks nice, and I can easily write on it and highlight troubled ones that aren't clicking with me so I can review them first thing when I wake up and look at my wall.

But enough about me. Here's the video of the week.

Video contains Madoka spoilers

Here we have a nice little parody opening of Hidamari Sketch (Chidamari Sketch, where chidamari means blood puddle) using Madoka's cast.

Ugh, perhaps the worst thing to encounter on a test.

You have perfectly captured my feelings for this entire semester.

Her questions are taken directly from the text book. I don't mean questions at the end of the chapter, I mean she TAKES A SENTENCE FROM THE BOOK and basically tells us to fill in the blank. Essentially making us just memorize what's written in the text rather than what the text is actually teaching, which I suck at anyway. Makes me want to try even less.

You poor, poor soul. That's several steps worse than my genetics class tests, and I really hate those. My only weapon against such things is Anki. Perhaps it could help you as well, if you aren't already using it.

Having so much rely on just one test is bad, I've always hated that. Too much cramming, I was never good at that

I hope Homu gets Good End

Madoka looks like a real moeblob in the first half of the video.

That sounds horrible.

At least you're always making progress in Japanese. Isn't that what matters the most?

That's so pointless, I feel sorry for you. It seems most lecturers/tutors are hopelessly incompetent in at least one area of teaching.

It sounds like your teachers isn't a creative person to do that.
As long a failure doesn't bring you down you are the victor I have been telling myself that it's kind of working.

Sounds like shit. I would be frustrated.

>I don't really mind, taking it easy is my thing. No need to stress over small stuff, it'll get me nowhere.

But it's this outlook that must keep you alive.

Sounds like some of the teachers I used to have.

I think terrible teachers and incompetent administration are the rule rather than the exception.

I keep reading all the news on this show and it sounds awesome, but I still haven't taken the time to sit down and start watching =/
