Remilia came!

So, this actually came yesterday, but I forgot to make a blog post because I was taking it easy with my backlog all day. I came home and saw two packages on my bed.

"What could this be? I ordered something?"
It's times like this I actually like having the memory capacity of a goldfish. I ordered Remilia, remember!? Of course. I also got a ton of (bootleg) mini Touhou figs from Dealextreme that just happened to come the same day. I don't usually buy bootleg figures, but there were really cheap, and I figured I wouldn't mind too much.
The ones with bad paint jobs (see Chen) were just stuffed in my drawer somewhere. So, that leaves Kaguya, big Reimu, Marisa, Patchouli, and Komachi as the decent ones in the bunch. The others had really noticable errors, but I was expecting that. I think the worst one was small Cirno, having her head made out of a different material than her body, making her skin two tones, and some of the paint used for her face applied sloppily to her hair, along with an overall lazy paint job. But it's all fine, I wanted the Kaguya figure from this the most, and I'm glad she was the highest quality one of the bunch.

Oh, right, and of course there's Remilia. She's not fake, since she was a serious purchase.

I may do an actual review tomorrow. Or not, it depends how easy I'm going to take it with my backlog. Though, considering this figure was already done by two people that have better cameras and reviewing skill than me, I might pass up on it. C did one, and so did orange drink, so if you want a review of her you'll probably get more informative reviews from those guys. My reviews are mostly just me playing around with my figures before posing them. I got Remilia in preparation for the Flandre Nendoroid that's coming out soon. Have to have them both, y'know.

Oh, wow. I didn't even know DX carried Touhou stuff! Sucks to hear some of the paint jobs are bad though.. most of their stuff usually is pretty decent for the money it seems. But at least it seems most of them are alright, and most importantly, the one you wanted.

I hope you enjoy your Remilia Nendo, she is very cute, and I am glad to see yours has an undamaged box.
I don't have any experience with bootleg stuff myself, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a go at repainting the bad ones.

@A Hermit

Yeah, I never get damages boxes. I guess I'm just lucky or something. I love keeping the boxes, so would really hate for my box to be crushed and such.

I have that set too, all of my rage when the spine logo changes.

The Remilia nendo is quite nice, but I've always been skeptical of collecting them especially since they started as event exclusives.

Those bootlegs look a bit like the Toranoana soft vinyl figures.

>Box padded with Touhous
The best parcel padding!

So many people are getting the Remilia Nendoroid that I feel like I should get my own. Damn my empty wallet.

My reviews are a bit like that too. I usually play with them and make mental notes on things I notice.

>better cameras

I thought my camera was horrible as well, but it turns out it's fairly good for close ups with the right settings. Try playing around with yours a bit, you never know~

Who left them on your bed? Do the delivery people actually drop them on your bed? If so, damn.

That isn't very nice..

I can say the same, pretty much.

QUALITY comment.

UGH! I know, right? Freaking Tokyopop. It's bad enough they plaster their logo on every freaking side of the cover, but they don't even keep it consistent! Book 1 is the only one without that red spine thing, and it stands out from the books surrounding it, because all of my books from C to H are Tokyopop.

My mother left them on my bed.

I know, but I don't have the room for them right now, otherwise I'd display them all. At least they're in a clothes drawer for warmth! There's pink stuff in that drawer too!

This seems to be a really popular fig lately. It's so cute, and I really like her expression. Have fun!

I just noticed in the image that you own all of the Chibi Vampire series. I've only read three volumes. Does it stay consistent and enjoyable throughout all 14 volume?

Also, good luck with your finals.

Meh, it's okay. A few WHAT A TWIST moments, and I've seen that not many people enjoy the end.
