Ever increasing backlog

I know I'm not the only one who has this problem. You get a few stuff that you like, download legitimately purchase it, and it stays stored away for you to start or continue later. But then you get so much crap piled up that you'll never finish it all. Right now I'm piling up anime from this season, but I still have older series that I want to finish watching as well. On top of that, I've got a bunch of unfinished video games laying around, and a bunch of VNs that I wanna read through. Some of them I read partially into, stopped, and then never found the time to pick them up.

It's not as if I don't want to continue, I just suck at time management. I waste time on /jp/ even though it's always shit and there's nothing good. But it's like a freaking drug, I swear. It's a huge timesink. I just sit down refreshing my tabs while listening to /jp/ radio and accomplishing nothing. Meanwhile, my backlog increases. I miss the days before 4chan, when I'd just marathon anime all day, from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep. Life was so simple then. Oh well, I guess as long as I enjoy myself in some way. It's not as if it's a race or anything. I just realize that 4chan is the biggest obstacle for breezing through my list.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to try to finish up a manga I've had on hold since forever.

Every. Single. Day.

The cool thing is that I feel like this even though I've got a tiny backlog. My old hard drive failed, and the hard drive on this computer is packed to the brim. I'm also too poor to buy anything. Why.

I have a huge backlog as well.
The best thing to do is to stop internet browsing completely. I know it's hard but you'll find that your backlog will slowly start to diminish.

I've had days where I spent the whole day on /jp/ even though I knew I had other things to do. I just kept F5ing every thread.

Backlogs piss me off but at the same time console me due to the fact that I'll have something to do lol

Yeah, I'm the same way. It's especially bad with VNs for some reason. I'll either download it and never touch it again or read it for a bit, take a break from it, and then never go back to reading it. Sucks.

Backlogs never shrink, they only grow. It is one of the mysteries of this world.

Oh god, I know what you mean. We all do.

I don't have just series on hold from last season, I have stuff on hold from several seasons ago. It's quite depressing, knowing that I'll most likely never get around to them. So eventually I make the difficult move of moving them from my 'watching' list to 'on hold'. Where they'll be on hold.

Forever.

And ever.

It keeps happening.

I have several games to beat, a dozen or more are still unopened. And I have even more anime to watch.
I always think I'll do it tomorrow, but I never do.

/jp/ is like the worst board I've ever been in. and the dicks at /a/ never recommend anything worth watching.

I do my best to stay away from 4chan now, or else I'll never get anything done.

THE NEVER ENDING BACKLOG
I understand

My anime series backlog is quickly approaching three digits. If I wasn't watching just about everything this season, I'd try taking another whack at it.
